Student, Royal Conservatory of The Hague, 1957—1962. Studied with Luciano Berio in Milan and Berlin, 1962—1965.

Composer and pianist, Amsterdam, since 1965. Founder Orkest de Volharding, since 1972. Teacher instrumentation Royal Conservatory of The Hague, 1974—1978, teacher composition, since 1978.

Composer musical theater works for group Baal, 1976. Founder Hoketus, 1976—1987. Teacher California Institute Arts., 1984.
