Entizminger, Louis was born on June 28, 1878 in Blythewood, Fairfield Company, South Carolina, United States. Son of Review John Nelson and Catherine (Rice) Entizminger.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, South Carolina. Co-Educational Institute, Edgefield, South Carolina. (now Bailey Military Institute, Greenwood, South Carolina.), 1901.

Career

Mercantile and manufacturing business until 1906. S.S. secretary Florida Baptist Convention, 1909-1910. S.S. secretary General Association Baptists of Kentucky, 1911-1913.

Director religious work, First Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, 1913-1916 and co-pastor same church, 1918 (built up attendance at S.S. from 249 to 2,000). Instructor S.S. organization and adminstration, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 1917. Pastor Lakeland, Florida, and First Church, New Orleans, until 1922.

In S.S. and evangelistic work, 1922-1926. Pastor Calvary Church, St. Petersburg, Florida, 1926-1927. Evangelistic and S.S. work, 1927-1931.

Then pastor Tabernacle Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas. Later pastor Temple Church, Detroit. President Great Lakes Bible Institute, Detroit.
