Speaker of Assembly, 1882- S4. Attorney-General, 1884-1887. Formed an Administration, January 1887, but resigned in two days.
Leader of Opposition to 1890. Minister without Portfolio, December 1891. Member for Chambly, 1892.
Prime Minister, 1892-1896. Postmaster-General, 1896. Defeated in General Elections, 1896 and 1900.
Declined seat on Bench, 1SS9. Honourable Doctor of Civil Law, Bishop’s College, 1895, and Laval, 1900. Has now retired into private life. Head of firm of Taillon, Bonin, and Morin; Roman Catholic.
Spouse 1875, Marie Louise Georgina (d. 1876),daughter of late Hon. P. U. Arcliambault.
