Career

Served as line officer, United States Navy until resignation, 1923. On staff International Newsreel, 1923-1927. Assistant editor Pathe News, 1927-1929.

Director and producer Twentieth Century-Fox. Joined TIME Inc., 1934. Co-founder, 1st producer The March of Time, 1934-1943.

Directed and produced The Ramparts We Watch, 1940. Producer: The Fighting Lady, 1944 (special award from New York film critics). The House on 92d Street, 1945.
