With, Alvord & Burdick, 1908-1921; member, Alvord, Burdick & Howson, from 1921. Served as engineer on water supplies, sewerage and sewage disposal, numerous locations throughout United States and Canada. Expert for New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota in Lake Michigan Water Diversion Controversy.

Reported to the United States secretary of war on requirements and costs of sewage treatment for the Chicago District. Expert testifying before Interstate Commerce Commission and United States Stockyards Administration on cases on item of "Going Value". Appraiser approximately 100 utilities and testified before numerous commissions and courts regarding values and rates.

Member several boards arbitration fixing value of utility properties for transfer or rates.
