Retained 1901, by Women's and Children’s Protective Association to investigate charges against management of the Eastern Illinois Hospital for Insane, at Kankakee, resulting in removal of 1 trustee and discharge of many employes.
Instrumental in starting movement to stop hazing in university of the United States, 1922, beginning at University of Michigan. Led in solving coal crises,” 1917, by appearing before Interstate Commerce Commission and Public Utilities communications of Illinois, in argument against the embargo of coal by railroads.
Successfully opposed laws detrimental to the growth of Chicago which were pending in Illinois legislature, 1922. Lecturer Young Men's Christian Association School of Commerce.
