The daughter of the farce actor Sir Brian Rix and actress Elspet Gray, she played the character of "Kevin"s Mum" (with Harry Enfield"s Kevin) on television and in the film Kevin & Perry Go Large (2000).

Career
Rix also played Mel Smith"s girlfriend in the British sitcom Colin"s Sandwich (1988-1990) and the Home Secretary in The Execution of Gary Glitter. Louisa was also popular for playing Alison, the solicitor representing the Jordache family in the Channel 4 soap Brookside amid the famous "Body under the patio" storyline.
