(For the first time in their lives, sisters Hannah and Jul...)
For the first time in their lives, sisters Hannah and Juliet Goodwin find themselves estranged. Hannah, newly married to City solicitor Michael and pregnant with their first child, has her ambitions focused on a dream house in Battersea’s affluent “Nappy Valley.” All, apparently, is as good as it gets. Juliet, meanwhile, is not so ready to commit. Her once-promising career in brand consultancy is now a low priority to the nights out with her friends Larry, Kate and Fulton, and she is unwilling to consider a future with her boyfriend Guy, a home of her own, or any plan beyond that evening’s choice of drinking hole.

The Sale family have arrived at the main villa: wealthy, high-flying Marty, his beautiful wife Bea, and their privileged, confident offspring. It doesn't take long for Ginny and Adam to be drawn in, especially when the teenage Pippi introduces a new friend into the circle. For there is something about Zach that has everyone instantly beguiled, something that loosens old secrets - and creates shocking new ones. And, yet, not one of them suspects that his arrival in their lives might be anything other than accidental.

When Fiona Lawson arrives home to find strangers moving into her house, she is plunged into terror and confusion. She and her husband, Bram, have owned their home on Trinity Avenue for years; how can another family possibly think the house is theirs? Lowland Way is the suburban dream. The houses are beautiful, the neighbors get along, and the kids play together on weekends. But when Darren and Jodie move into the house on the corner, they donʼt follow the rules. They blast music at all hours, begin an unsightly renovation, and run a used-car business from their yard. It doesn’t take long for an all-out war to start brewing. Then, early one Saturday, a horrific death shocks the street. As police search for witnesses, accusations start flying - and everyone has something to hide.
