She reached a career-high world ranking of World Number. 5 in October 2014. Early Years
Wee Wern began playing squash at the age of nine and is based at the Penang International Squash Centre in Bukit Dumbar, Penang. Between 2001 to 2006, Wee Wern bagged 19 Junior titles including U19 Asian Junior and Pioneer Cup titles in 2006.
In 2014 Incheon Asian Games, Wee Wern bagged the women singles silver medal after losing to her compatriot, World Number.1 Nicol David.
She also bagged the gold medal for women"s team alongside Nicol David and her teammates.
