Lucas designed the Second Presbyterian Church, architecturally the best of all the early churches in the city, with a stately Doric portico and graceful steeple it compares favorably with any of the English churches of Sir Christopher Wren. While there is no further record of any of Mr. Bradley's work in St. Louis, he may have practiced elsewhere. At Racine, Wisconsin, the First Presbyterian Church was built from his plans in 1851 and still stands at the corner of College Avenue and Seventh Street. A distinguished brick edifice of Classic design, it is surmounted by a spire reminiscent of Sir Christopher Wren's English churches.
