She was elected Mission Panamá International 2005, which gave her the opportunity to compete in the Mission International 2005 pageant held in Koseinenkin Hall, Tokyo, Japan. Matamoros also represented Panamá in the World Coffee Queen pageant in Houston, Texas, United States and in 2004 participated in Mission Continentes del Mundo in Perú. Mission International 2005
