Career
She is deputy for the province of San Juan de la Maguana. Having been elected in 2002, and re-elected to the 2006–2010 and 2010–2016 periods. She is serving as Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies since 2006.
Lucía Medina is the sister of Danilo Medina, the current President of the Dominican Republic.
