Lucy Frank was born on March 22, 1947 in New York, United States, in the family of Sidney and Viola (Sobol) Kantrowitz.

Education

In 1968 Lucy received Bachelor of Arts at Barnard College.

Career

In the years before Lucy devoted herself to writing full-time, Lucy worked as a vitamin pill shipping clerk, editorial assistant, children’s clothing designer, low-income housing program administrator, budget analyst, mutual fund portfolio manager, employment counselor, and lab administrator for a neurobiology lab that studied mouse reproductive behavior.

Achievements

• Lucy is mostly famous for her books "I Am an Artichoke" and "Will You Be My Brussels Sprout?" Her books have been praised as “funny, brainy and sweet”, “wise and terrifically well-observed.”
