She was the Mission Venezuela International titleholder for 1999, and was the official representative of Venezuela to the Mission Globe International pageant held in Riga, Latvia, in 2000, when she finished in the Top 15 semifinalists. Diaz competed in the national beauty pageant Mission Venezuela 1999 and obtained the title of Mission Venezuela International.
