Career
He was recruited to the Hawthorn Football Club with the 8th selection in the 2002 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft. After just 19 games in 4 seasons, he struggled at the elite level He played 10 games in a row during the middle part of the 2005 season but since failed to recapture that form.
In that year he was also the runner-up in The American Federation of Labor-Congress Footy Show"s singing competition.
Brennan can play in different positions, but had particular success as either a spoiling defender or as a strong marking half forward. Brennan was delisted by Hawthorn at the end of the 2006 American Federation of Labor-Congress season.
He was later selected by Sydney in the 2007 American Federation of Labor-Congress rookie draft. At the end of the season, however, he was again delisted.
He was not selected by any American Federation of Labor-Congress teams and is currently playing for Old Scotch in the VAFA.
