Career
Patel is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. While studying for his degree in Sports at Durham University, Patel made his first-class debut for Durham MCCU against Nottinghamshire in 2010. He made two further first-class appearances for the team in 2011, against Warwickshire and Yorkshire.
In his seven first-class matches, he scored 167 runs at an average of 13.91, with a high score of 32.
