Luke Shuey

Career

Shuey was selected by West Coast with the 18th (priority) pick in the 2008 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft. He completed Year 12 in 2008 at Marcellin College. Shuey kicked his first goal with his first kick in American Federation of Labor-Congress football, against the Brisbane Lions on 27 March 2010.

Shuey received the Rising star nomination for Round 2 2011 after a 27 disposals and three goals against Portuguese.

He finished the year runner-up Rising Star, losing to Dyson Heppell by 7 votes.

Achievements

• Luke had played all his junior football with Bulleen Templestowe (The Bullants) and Marcellin College after which he was selected to play with the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup, during which he was then selected to represent Vic Metro in the 2008 National Championships (having also won the team"s best and fairest).
