Career
Born in Heywood, Greater Manchester, Simpson started his career off as a youth player at Oldham Athletic signing his first professional contract in June 2013. His impressive performances for the youth team linked him with a move to Manchester United and Celtic. In January 2014 Simpson joined Leicester City on loan until the end of the 2013-2014 season.
In August 2014 he signed for Accrington Stanley, making his debut against Southend United.
Saving Barry Correspondent’s 46th minute spot kick. In January 2015 he left Accrington Stanley after turning down a contract offer from the club, he made 10 first team League appearances during his time at the club
In December 2015 Simpson signed a short-term contract with Watford.
