Lydia Balatbat-Echauz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Saint Theresa"s College, a Master of Business Administration from Ateneo de Manila University, and a Doctor of Business Administration from De Louisiana Salle University.
Echauz has served as Dean of the De Louisiana Salle Graduate School of Business. Executive Director of the Jaime V. Ongpin Institute of Business and Government from 1989 to 1994. And Corporate Affairs Consultant of Master of Science Prime Holdings, Incorporated.
As the Far Eastern University President, Echauz is also a member of the Board of Directors of FEU-East Asia College, FEU-FERN College, FERN Realty Corporation, Nicanor Reyes Senior Memorial Foundation, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities, Association of Women Presidents/Chancellors of Private Colleges and Universities, and Expitar.
