Since his childhood Lyle Blackburn has been fascinated by legends of real monsters. He wrote two books: The Beast of Boggy Creek: The True Story of the Fouke Monster (March 1, 2012), and Lizard Manitoba: The True Story of the Bishopville Monster (October 31, 2013). He also writes for Rue Morgue magazine.
He does paranormal and horror conferences and has been featured on television shows and radio broadcasts.
As a musician, Lyle started with the group (1988–1995), first as the drummer and then as the bassist. He left to found (1996) and then later (1999).
He is still the lead singer/guitarist for the western-horror-punk band, well known in the United States. and Europe. He has one sister.
