She started playing football at South Carolina Hornburg and later Music Television Wolfenbüttel. In her final youth years she joined Turbine Potsdam, playing in the second team She then had a spell at Bundesliga side Lokomotive Leipzig.
After relegation in 2012, she left the club and joined Wolfsburg, where she started in the second team
