Brooks-Korn completed an MFA in 1976 at the University of Michigan, where she had also obtained her bachelor's degree in 1973.
She has been employed as a photographic airbrush artist since 1977. She also worked as a photography instructor at Lansing Community College in Michigan in 1976-77, as a graduate assistant at the University of Michigan in 1976 and as an instructor at the Galliard Gallery in East Lansing in 1973.
The artist has worked extensively in silver and alternative photographic processes, in gum- bichromate and in color photography. She was working on a "series representing city and nature scapes which combine silver images, painting and airbrush techniques."
Since 1977 she has been a member of CAA, SPE and the Women's Caucus for Art.
