Career
Among her most notable collaborations with Burns are The War (2007), Baseball: The Tenth Inning (2010). and Prohibition (2011). Their next project is a Vietnam War history planned for 2016. Born and raised in New York City, Novick was a research assistant at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History before beginning her film career as a production assistant at W National Educational Television, the city"s public television station.
She worked on Bill Moyers" projects Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth and A World of Ideas with Bill Moyers before getting a job working on Burns" The Civil War (1990).
