He was educated at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa.
Completing his studies and a period of training in Philadelphia, he established an office in the city in association with Mr. Price, and under the firm name designed a number of large resort hotels on the Atlantic coast during the early part of the century, including the Marlborough-Blenheim (built in 1905), the Traymore Hotel at Atlantic City, and the Clarendon at Sea Breeze, Florida.
Former member of the firm of Price & McLanahan, and following the death of William L. Price in 1910, practiced in partnership with Ralph C. Bencker.
