Career
Fontein joined Arizona on 1 May 2008, and is responsible for Sponsorships, International relations and affairs, and strategy. Prior to joining Arizona, Fontein was Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director for AFC Ajax from November 2005 through April 2008. Prior to AFC Ajax, Fontein was employed by Unilever, holding various positions in the company"s ice-cream and frozen foods divisions in The Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, Turkey, and China.
As of 9 July 2008, Fontein serves on the Professional Football Strategy Board as a representative of the Economic Commission for Africa.
