Career
He was born in Ghanor,Punjab on March 17, 1939. His father"s name is Ram Saroop Mittal and mother"s name Leelawati Mittal. He is a lawyer by profession.
He successfully contented election from Nangal in 1992 as a BJP candidate.
In 1997, he was re-elected from Nangal. In 2012, and he successfully contested from Anandpur Sahib.
Presently he is cabinet minister and holding portfolio of Parliamentary Affairs, Health & Family Welfare and Social Security & Development of Women & Children.
