Career
He studied at Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts then went on to learn calligraphy at the hands of the renowned calligrapher Mohammad First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Hafez. He later continued his training in ceramics at Cardiff College of Arts in Wales (1976).
