1883 graduate Kazan’ Seminary for Non-Russians.
Until 1898 taught at elementary school. 1898— 1920 taught at Seminary for Non-Russians, Kazan'. 1906-1912 head, pupils’workshops at this seminary.
After 1917 October Revol lectured on Mordovian language, history and ethnography at Kazan’ Eastern Academy, Kazan’ Eastern Teachers’ Training Institute and Kazan’ Communist University. Wrote a “Grammar” which helped shape Erzya-Mordovian and Moksha-Mordovian lit languages.
Religious edicts impose irrational rules on people’s behaviour.
