Graduated from Waseda University. While in school published Harufuku (Spring Wear) in literary coterie magazine A ho (Idiot) that won recognition from Yasunari Kawaba.
Career
After war edited Fujin Bunko (The Women's Library) for Kamakura Bunko Publishing Company. Meantime turned gradually to writing of popular novels and radio plays. Wrote the popular radio drama, Mukd-Sangen Ryodonari (The Next Door and Three Houses Across the Road, meaning nearest neighbors). Has been active mainly as writer of popular literature. Author of Murasakino Obi (The Purple Sash), Kyokugei (Stunts), Maidgi (A DanciiiK Fan).
