Sullivan was the first head college football coach for the Benedictine Ravens located in Atchison, Kansas. He held that position for the 1920 and 1921 seasons. His coaching record at Benedictine was 8 wins and 6 losses.
As of the conclusion of the 2011 season, this ranks him #11 at Benedictine in total wins and #6 at the school in winning percentage (571).
He died of a heart attack in 1967.
