Career
Accompanied Eiichi Shibusawa to the U.S. as his private secretary. After returning entered Akaji Bank. Thereafter served successively as director of Tokyo Rice Exchange, director of Teikoku Jinken (Imperial Synthetic Fiber) Company. During prewar and postwar periods was elected twice to House of Representatives. Shigeo Nagano, president of Fuji Iron & Steel Company, is his younger brother.
