Man-itsu Tanaka attended Waseda University.
Man-itsu Tanaka joined the editorial staff of the Hochi Shimbun (newspaper). Later entered politics as a member of the Liberal Party and was elected to the House of Representatives 14 times. He was Minister of State in the first Yoshida Cabinet (1947).
Later, vice-president of House of Representatives, chief secretary of Progressive Party, vice-minister of Communications, chairman of the Peace Treaty Special Committee. Stood for election to the Diet again (1955) but was unsuccessful.
