Manas Chitakasem

Education

Manas Chitakasem studied at the Srinakharinwirot University, where he got a Bachelor of Education degree and Master of Arts degree. He continued his education at the University of Michigan and later became a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Hawaii. Also, Manas Chitakasem studied at the University of London.

Career

Manas Chitakasem worked with Andrew Tuiton on the book "Thai Constructions of Knowledge" as an editor. This book was released in 1991 at the University of London. He also was the editor of "The Literary Traditions", which was printed in 1995 at Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand). He was the translator and the author of the introduction to "The Sergeant’s Garland and Other Stories" with his colleague David Smyth. This book was printed at Oxford University Press (New York, New York, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) in 1998. Manas Chitakasem is also known as a contributor to periodicals, including "UNESCO Courier." He works as a senior lecturer at the University of London at the School of Oriental and African Studies.
