Background
He grew up in Calgary, Alberta and later, he went to Saint Michaels University School in Victoria, British Columbia. Manoj Sood was born in Mombassa, Kenya to Hindu parents (Doctor BK Sood and Narindar Sood). His family moved to Canada in 1964 and he grew up in Western Canada.
Career
Manoj immigrated with his family to Canada in 1964 when he was 18 months old. Sood entered the entertainment world in 1994 and has been working steadily for the past 20 years. Much to his surprise, he landed a supporting role in an American movie of the week after his very first audition.
Up until then his only acting experience had been from his acting classes.
Since then, Sood has appeared in more than 60 television and feature film productions. He has appeared on popular television shows including Da Vinci"s Inquest, The Dead Zone, Romeo!, Dead Like Maine and a series lead (91 episodes) of Little Mosque on the Prairie, as well as numerous others
Sood has also acted in popular films such as Meltdown (2004) (television), "Rat Race (2001 film)" and "Watchmen". Recent credits include performances in "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland", "Continuum", "The Pinocchio Project" and Brad Bird"s Tomorrowland.
He is a brother of actress Veena Sood.
He has a son, Kama L. Sood born May 6, 1998.
