Miguel, Manuel San was born on September 29, 1930 in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Son of Manuel and Luisa (Griffo) San Miguel.

Historian San Juan National Historic Site, National Park Service, 1953-1963. Executive secretary Academy Arts and Sciences, San Juan, 1963-1964. Founder museum and study collection El Morro Castle San Juan National History Site.
