(An acquaintance of Clare's elegant employer and fellow me...)
An acquaintance of Clare's elegant employer and fellow member of an exclusive Gotham circle known as "The Ladies Who Brunch" invited Clare to her posh hotel to sample gourmet wedding cakes. The pair took a stroll after their indulgent tasting and, according to security camera footage, a masked figure snatched the hotel heiress at gunpoint with Clare looking on. Did the kidnapper take Clare, too? The camera went dark, just like Clare's memory. Soon authorities grow suspicious. Is Clare really a victim? Or merely acting like one? Evidence is mounting that she set the woman up. To clear her name, Clare must find a way to reclaim her memories and rescue the heiress before this high-stakes crime ends in tragedy. Otherwise, instead of walking down the aisle, Clare may find herself perp-walking to prison as an accomplice to kidnapping and murder.

Today Marc is one of the prolific authors from America who is famous for writing books based on the young adult, cozy mystery, military non-fiction, science fiction, children’s books, and fantasy genres. He is also popular for writing movie novelizations, picture books, and television tie-ins. Alice uses the pen names Alice Kimberly and Cleo Coyle respectively, for writing these novel series along with her husband. Both these novel series are still going on. In addition to writing his own books, author Marc has also written for Tom Clancy as a ghostwriter. The popularity of his books and the series of successes have helped him to establish himself as one of the USA Today and New York Times bestselling novelist. Author Marc began his writing career in the year 1986 by publishing a reader’s guide to one of the nonfiction works of author Robert E. Howard. The first fiction work written by Marc was published under the title of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. It was released as a movie novelization. As far as the children’s books are concerned, author Marc has written many books, including a few based on the Star Wars Episode One.
One of his other children’s book series is based on original Godzilla adventures titled Godzilla. Other than these, Marc has written numerous standalone books in his career. As of today, he resides in New York City, New York, The United States, along with his beautiful novelist wife and a couple of cats called Turtle and Brownie. Originally, author Marc hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His writing career consists of more than 30 books for both children and adults. The Godzilla series written by him is based on the characters of the original film and has its own unique storyline and plot. The initial book of this series is titled Godzilla Returns, in which Marc has shown the Godzilla making its appearance for the 1st time since 1954. It goes on to destroy Tokyo city. Similar to the climax shown in the film, the Godzilla is lured out of the city and into the ocean’s deepest part. Following the success of this book, author Marc wrote 4 more books in the later years. The last one was left unfinished and therefore it was never released.
One of the inspiring and most popular books written by Marc Cerasini is titled "Cinderella Man." It was released by HarperEntertainment in the year 2005. The plot is set in New York at the time of the Great Depression and the story revolves around the life of the lead character named Jim Braddock. In order to earn the livelihood for his family, Jim decides to take up boxing. Eventually, his match gets set up against the champion Max Baer, who is notorious for killing two of his previous opponents in the ring. Born in New York City, James J. Braddock was well known among the locals for having a thunderous right hand. As an amateur boxer, he was quite successful locally. When he turned professional, he started defeating his opponents one after the other. As a result of his rapid rise in boxing, he earned the nickname as the Cinderella Man. Riding on his success, he got an opportunity to fight in the title match of the light heavyweight championship of the world against the then champion Tommy Loughran in the year 1929.
At the end of a 15 round match, Jim ends on the losing side. After his defeat and the crashing of the stock market in 1929, Jim has been struggling to win the boxing matches and feed his family of a wife and two children. Eventually, Jim’s luck gets turned in the year 1934 when he wins fights against Henry Lewis and Corn Griffin. Because of these wins, he gets the opportunity to set himself up against the heavyweight champion Max Baer for a world title match. In the match, Jim goes on to defeat Max and takes the world title. The fight has gotten described as the greatest upset since John Sullivan’s defeat by Jim Corbett. After a couple of years, Jim Braddock loses the title to Joe Louis in an 8 round knockout. Because of his immense success in the boxing ring, Jim Braddock was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Ring Boxing in the year 196, the Hall of Fame of the Hudson County in 1991, and the Hall of Fame of the International Boxing in the year 2001. The novel received a huge response all over the world and sold numerous copies. Its success helped author Marc to establish himself as a noteworthy author. A Hollywood film was made based on the book having the same title and starring Russell Crowe in the lead role as Jim Braddock.
Another highly successful book written by author Marc is titled as "Godzilla 2000." The Random House publishers released the book in the year 1997. After having an astounding debut of the series in the form of Godzilla Returns, author Marc decided to pen down another exciting Godzilla adventure. The main character described by him in this book is a teenager named Kip Daniels. At the beginning of the plot, it is shown that Kip Daniels breaks all the records in a new video game known as Battleground 2000.
After the game ends, he gets grabbed by a couple of mysterious men. It is later learned that the military had created the game as a means to test and recruit some new talents so as to train them on a high tech flying weapon. This weapon was designed to be used against the Godzilla and various other giant monsters that have been causing mass destruction all over the worldwide. By winning the military designed video game, Kip Daniels earns himself a chance to undergo the training. Along with 5 other teenagers, he agrees to join a secret organization known as the G-Force USA. After undergoing the rigorous training, Kip Daniels and his team of teenagers get ready to face Godzilla and bring it down. The novel takes the readers from the Mir space station in Russia to the Kansas city’s wheat fields, and from a testing base in Pentagon to Mount Rushmore’s top.

Quotations:
"I lived in a fading steel town outside of Pittsburgh that had a very imposing library built by the town’s namesake, Andrew Carnegie. One summer my dad was appointed to the City Council, so on Tuesday nights, seven until nine, he had to attend weekly meetings. I often went with him because the library seemed like a really cool place to a twelve-year-old, with its huge bronze statues of classical warriors, swords and shields on the walls, and even a suit of armor. On those trips, I walked around the library alone and unsupervised, after hours. More than once, I got lost in some book in a hidden stack, and my dad had to come find me."
"I wanted my stories to be more than mere imitations of the great Toho films. I owed that much to the fans, and to Godzilla."
Quotes from others about the person
Here is what Marc's wife and collaborator Alice Alfonsi said about a process of writing with him: "Our collaborative process is a little like two chefs in one kitchen. We brainstorm the menu (rough outline) together. Then we go off and cook up different parts. Throughout the months of writing, we’ll continue to suggest ideas to each other - over morning coffee, evening meals, and long walks through our neighborhood. But we always write our sections alone, dreaming up things in separate rooms. Then we come together and share. I go over Marc’s pages and he goes over mine, each of us working to improve, smooth out, or punch-up the other’s prose.
We never outline a book from start to finish. After we agree on a concept and general direction, we’ll throw our characters into the thick of things and let them tell us the story from there. By the midpoint, we’re brainstorming again, researching new twists, turns, and locations, and we rarely know the ending until we’re about three-quarters through. We like it that way. If we can surprise ourselves, we’re more likely to surprise and entertain our readers."
