In 2011, he represented the Pumas U19 in the 2011 Under-19 Provincial Championship and in 2012 and 2013 he played for the Pumas U21s in the Under-21 Provincial Championships. He also played for the Uttar Pradesh Tuks Blue Bulls Academy as well as for Tuks Under-20 and Under-21, winning the Carlton League in Pretoria.
Pumas
Marco joined Nelspruit-based outfit the Pumas for the 2014 season and made his debut for Pumas in their 2014 Vodacom Cup match against the Limpopo Blue Bulls in Polokwane, helping them to an 88–0 victory. in his only appearance in the competition.
Achievements

He was an unused member of the Pumas 2015 Vodacom Cup squad for the that won the competition for the first time in their history, beating Western Province 24–7 in the final. Kruger joined Welkom-based outfit the Griffons on a loan deal for the 2015 Currie Cup qualification tournament, where he made six appearances. He was then named in the Pumas squad for the 2015 Currie Cup Premier Division.
