Marcus Martin is an American football center for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League.
Education
Martin attended Crenshaw in Los Angeles, California. He was All-Los Angeles City Offensive Lineman of the Year and Los Angeles Times All-Star as a senior, helping Crenshaw win the 2010 Los Angeles City Division I championship.
Considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, he was rated as the 28th best offensive guard prospect of his class.
Career
He was drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Southern California. Martin attended the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2013. Martin spent his freshman and sophomore seasons as the Trojans left guard.
Prior to his junior season he was moved to center.
He entered the 2014 NFL Draft after his junior season. 2014 NFL Draft Martin was drafted with the 70th pick, in the 3rd round, of the 2014 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
He was drafted by the 49ers in Round 3 with the 70th pick overall.
