Career
A 6"9½" (207 m), 225 lb (102 kg) small forward-power forward, he was a second round National Basketball Association draft choice of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, in the 2006 National Basketball Association Draft, chosen 43rd overall. Vinicius played professionally for Sao Carlos at the time of his selection in the 2006 National Basketball Association draft. He currently plays for Flamengo in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).
In 2004-2005 season Vinicius played professionally in the Italian 1st Division with Premiata Montegranaro.
National Basketball Association
Vinicius played a total of 26 games for the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, scoring 50 points. He spent part of the 2006-2007 National Basketball Association season with the National Basketball Association Development League"s Tulsa 66ers, for whom he played 13 games.
In 2008, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, only to be waived 2 days later. NBB regular season
