Marcus J. Williams began practicing law in Berlin, Maryland in 1950.
Thereafter, he practiced law for 16 years when in 1966, he was joined by Edward H. Hammond, Junior and in 1969, by Joseph East. Moore, both of whom had previously served as his law clerks.
In 1970, the firm of Williams, Hammond & Moore was established, and the firm later expanded with Joseph G. Harrison joining the firm in 1974 and Raymond C. Shockley joining the firm as a partner in 1975, as Mr. Shockley had previously been a partner in another law firm.
In 1972, the firm opened an Ocean City office, and in 1996, the firm opened an office near the community of Ocean Pines. With the addition of four associates, the firm offers a full service practice maintaining its main office in Ocean City and a branch office in Ocean Pines near Berlin.
