Justice Superior Court of Massachusetts, 1881-1887, Supreme Judicial Court, 1887-1902, chief justice, same, December 1902-September 1911, when resigned. Chairman board of 5 trustees appointed by the Federal Court in 1914, to take over, hold and dispose of a majority of the capital stock of the B.&M. R.R. in the interest of the New York,N.H.&H. Railroad Company Home: Springfield, Mass.
