Margaret Bingley was born on June 17, 1947, in Surrey, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of Lionel Lewis, a senior civil servant, and Audrey Ethel Jane (Penfold) Kirby.
Margaret was educated at Sutton High School for Girls GPDST. She then graduated from Rickards Lodge Secretarial College with certificate of distinction in 1965.
After graduation Margaret Bingley worked at the BBC in London. She later went to work for The Heinemann Group of Publishers at Lower Kingswood in Surrey, which gave her the opportunity to read countless novels from their backlist library.
In 1974, Margaret with her family moved to Lincolnshire, where she still lives today. In 1976 her son was born. By the time he was 18 months old she’d decided to try and write a novel herself and eventually, after many trials and tribulations, her first book THE DEVIL’S CHILD was published. Much of the book was based on her experiences in the early days of motherhood.
Margaret continued writing steadily from 1983 onwards, and in February 2000 she also started writing a weekly column of 400 words for the local paper, The Grantham Journal, entitled ‘The Way I See It’. She stopped writing the column in July 2005 due to her husband’s ill health.
Margaret also publishes erotica novels under the pseudonyms Fredrica Alleyn and Marina Anderson.

1985Quotations: “Most of my books concern the paranormal, and feature children very strongly. This is because I find the total amorality and self-centeredness of the small child fascinating, as are society's desperate attempts to ‘civilize’ these intriguing individuals.”
Margaret is a member of Grantham Writers Circle.
Margaret married Alan Bradley Bingley, a managing director of a publishing distribution center, in December 1977. They have one son Alexander Russell.
