She is a professor emeritus at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and exceptional grade senior researcher emeritus at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique. After graduating from Oxford University, where her thesis was on histone modifications, she joined F. Gros"s laboratory at the Pasteur Institute to work on messenger of Ribonucleic Acid regulation during skeletal muscle differentiation.
