In this lyrical collection of poems, Margaret Hasse covers a range of experience from adoption and childrearing to reflections on war, the changing seasons, and hand-me-down clothes. The poems may be meditative or humorous--sometimes both--but they invariably use simple images to expose the beauty, challenge, and mystery of common life with startling clarity.
