She was elected Freeholder in 1961, and re-elected in 1964. In 1965, Marucci, a widow, married James West. Kelly, Junior., a widower and the Mayor of East Orange, New Jersey. Her first husband was Orange attorney Michael Marucci.
She owned a dress shop in Short Hills.
