Career
She was trained in Biblical Studies and was an influential activist during the Liberian Civil War. Running as the FAPL presidential candidate in the October 2005 elections, Tor-Thompson placed 13th out of 22 candidates, receiving only 0.9% of the vote. In late April 2007, it was reported that she was dying of breast cancer.
She died on 4 May 2007 on Bushrod Island, outside Monrovia.
