Margaret A. Krych was born on April 4, 1942, in Perth, Australia. She is a daughter of Ernest (a government railroad employee) and Sybil (a homemaker) Sanders.
Margaret A. Krych earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Western Australia in 1963. In 1965 she got a Bachelor's Degree with honors at Melbourne College of Divinity, Australia, and in 1970 she got a Master of Theology degree there.
She attended Princeton Theological Seminary, where she earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1985.
Margaret A. Krych started her career at Clergy Methodist Church of Australia, Perth, Australia, in 1966-1967, she was an associate director of the department of Christian education of Australia, (1968-1970). She worked at the Editor Lutheran Church American, Philadelphia, in 1973-1977. In 1977-2008 she was a Charles Norton professor of Christian education and theology at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, and during 1997-2008 she was an associate dean at graduate education.
Margaret A. Krych also has been a Consultant Educational Ministry with Youth Project, Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, since 1999. She was a member of the European Landscape Contractors Association Board, Augsburg Fortress Publication House, Minneapolis, 2003-2007.
Margaret A. Krych has been listed as a noteworthy religious organization administrator, educator by Marquis Who's Who.
She was named one of Outstanding Young Women of America in 1976 and 1977. She took part in Women in Leadership in Theological Education program by Association Theological Schools in 2001. She is a recipient of JR Saunders prize in philosophy, University Western Australia, 1960.
