Taken from the journals of the author's twin sister, Margaret Gibson describes in detail two trips to Sinai as well as their findings. Written to quickly and simply record and publicize their journey as an effort to correct erroneous news reports, this easy-to-follow narrative is for anyone curious about Biblical research in the 19th century or the expeditions of these extraordinary twins. MARGARET DUNLOP GIBSON (1843‒1920) was twin sister to AGNES SMITH LEWIS (1843‒1926); the Semitic scholars were often referred to as the Westminster sisters for their donations to the Presbyterian Church of England and especially Westminster College, Cambridge. Between the two of them, the women learned 12 languages and became pioneers in their field. While both sisters traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East, as well as to Mount Sinai to study the earliest Syriac version of the Gospels, most of their written works are attributed to Agnes. The only written work Margaret authored was How the Codex was Found, a narrative from Agnes's journals of their two trips to Mount Sinai.

His father's name was Fafestus, and his mother's name was Mattidian. He wrote the Canons of the Apostles and other things; became bishop at Rome, and was banished by the Emperor Domitian. But come, let us bring forward a little of the much which this Blessed Clement expounded from that which he wrote to James the Lord's Brother in the letter in which he related to him minutely about all his affairs, and how he turned from his former error to the knowledge of God. Margaret Dunlop Gibson (1843–1920) was an accomplished translator who along with her twin, Agnes Smith Lewis, became known as one of the Westminster Sisters. The twins were Semitic scholars who learned more than a dozen languages between them, becoming pioneers in academics at Westminster College in Cambridge. One of the works Margaret Dunlop Gibson was the Apocrypha Arabica, which she translated from the Syriac, Arabic and Ethiopic languages used in the churches of Asia and Africa, and it serves as a leading line of ancient history, as well as of the philosophy of religion. Some scholars believe it was written by a Christian during the 6th century.

Rendel Harris, and Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Burkitt was undertaken for the purpose of deciphering the precious manuscript to which we have alluded.
