Originally a biology major with intentions of becoming a veterinarian, Chase fell in love with design when she took a course on a whim while studying at California Polytechnic State University. Her first job in graphic arts was a tedious paste-up position, which gave her great appreciation for computers. Finding it difficult to land a solid job, she founded the successful Chase Design Group in 1986.
She has designed logos for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (as well as the web site) and Angel.
Her company has been involved in the "branding" of numerous entities, such as Target stores. Chase design has worked for such Hollywood notables as Cher, Madonna and the Tejano crossover singer, Selena.
Her articles and interviews appear in magazines such as How and Create. Chase currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Along with being a prestigious graphic designer, Chase has also taught at California Institute of the Arts, Valencia.

Her business, Chase Design Group, defines itself as a full-service identity boutique.
Chase’s expensive work was included in an exhibition at “Women Designers United States of America: 1900–2000,” which was sponsored by Bard College.
