She graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1986, studying under professor Salme Raunam.

Career
She is also known as a book designer. Käbin began her studies at the Kopli Art School in 1973 and after graduating worked at Jewellery Plant as a jeweler since 1980. Between 1986 and 1990 Käbin worked making graphic designs for Nõmme Cultural House.
She worked as a freelance artist from 1991 - 1994 and started teaching art in 1994.
She worked at Tallinna Pelgulinna Art Gymnasium and at Rahumäe Elementary School. Käbin has had both solo and group exhibitions throughout the world.
Her jewelry designs have been displayed in various museums and exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and the United States, among others
